Walt Swietlik
Director of Loading Dock Automation Solutions, Rite-Hite

Walt Swietlik has more than 40 years of experience in the material handling industry, with more than 38 of those dedicated to the area of loading dock and door safety and improved productivity. For the past two decades, Walt has managed Rite-Hite’s popular “Customer Experience Program” and most recently has taken on the role of Director of Loading Dock Automation Solutions, where he works closely with a variety of customers and automation suppliers to address the challenges associated with automation solutions in loading dock design, equipment selection, and controls applications.

Host: David Maloney
Group Editorial Director, DC Velocity and CSCMP’s Supply Chain Quarterly

David Maloney is the editorial director of DC Velocity and Supply Chain Quarterly. He has been a journalist for more than 30 years and has been with DC Velocity since April of 2004. Prior to joining DCV, David was senior editor for Modern Materials Handling, where he reported on distribution and supply chain operations.

David also has extensive experience as a broadcast journalist. Before writing for supply chain publications, he was a journalist, television producer and director in Pittsburgh. David combines a background of reporting on logistics with his video production experience to bring new opportunities to DC Velocity readers, including Web-based videos highlighting top distribution and logistics facilities, Webcasts and other cross-media projects. Ken Bowman, Vice President of Business and Product Development, leads the innovation and expansion of loading dock product portfolio for Rite-Hite. With almost 30 years in the material handling industry, he started his tenured career in distribution sales, working his way up through sales leadership before transitioning to marketing where he has played a crucial role in Rite-Hite’s digital division, loading dock automation, and business acquisitions. Today, Ken continues to closely monitor industry trends, helping ensure Rite-Hite is always looking ahead by constantly evolving their robust products, solutions, and partnership offerings.
